Turquoise Card
Turquoise Card is a type of card given to qualified foreigners that provide the same rights as the indefinite work permit granted for foreigners in Turkey if certain conditions are met.
Some conditions must be met in order to obtain a Turquoise card. These conditions are as follows:
- To be within the scope of highly qualified labor force
- To be within the scope of highly qualified investors
- To be a scientist or researcher who contributes to scientific and technological development
- Those engaged in cultural, artistic or sporting activities at the international level
- Contribute to the promotion of Turkey and Turkish culture at the international level and to their national interests
Turkuaz Kart başvuruları ; Uluslararası İş Gücü Politikası Danışma Kurulu’nun önerileri, 6735 Sayılı Uluslarası İşgücü Kanunu, Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı tarafından belirlenen usül ve esaslara göre yürütülmektedir. Turkuaz Kart uygulamasında, uluslararası düzeyde kabul görmüş akademik çalışmalara sahip olanlar, bilim, sanayi ve teknolojide stratejik olarak önemli olan alanlarda öne çıkanlar ya da ihracat, istihdam veya yatırım kapasitesiyle ulusal ekonomiye büyük katkıda bulunan veya bulunması beklenen kişiler, nitelikli yabancı olarak kabul edilir.
Turquoise Card is issued provided that the first three years are the transition period. The Ministry may request information and documents related to the activities carried out from the employer or foreigner during the transition period. The transition period record on the Turquoise Card, which is not canceled in accordance with Article 15 of the Turquoise Card Regulation during the transition period, is removed upon the application of the foreigner and the Turquoise Card is issued indefinitely.
